For the past 20 years, Rainbow House has worked with local agencies and the community at large to provide quality, short-term emergency shelter and therapeutic care for physically and sexually abused, neglected, and abandoned children in metro Atlanta.

Whether you run solo or with a team, the 10^th Annual Run for the Rainbow is a unique opportunity for businesses, families, churches, or co-workers to come together to stand against child abuse. Each mile you run and every dollar you raise helps Rainbow House continue to advocate for child abuse prevention, treatment, and support for the children and families in our community. Join hundreds of participants from our previous year’s races and register today!

Support the Dream… with a Team!

This year Rainbow House would like to issue a challenge to all Metro area schools, businesses, and organizations to form their own teams of 3 or more to run/walk in this year’s race. Show your support and team spirit by taking part in this wonderful event.

Each team member is encouraged to donate a minimum of $10 above the registration fee. Because this is also a pledge run and walk, the ideal goal for all teams is to raise an average of $100 per person in donations. An individual’s registration fee will be waived with pledges/donations/sponsorship contributions of $75 or more. Trophies and prizes will be awarded at the race for:

·         The individual that raises the most amount in pledges

·         The team that raises the most amount in combined pledges

·         The team with the largest number of participants

How to raise $300 in one week

Day 1: Begin by putting in your own contribution of $25
Day 2: Ask two members of your family to sponsor you for $10 each
Day 3: Ask your employer to contribute $25 and ask about matching funds for employee contributions to your campaign
Day 4: Ask five friends to contribute $10 each
Day 5: Ask five co-workers to contribute $10 each
Day 6: Ask five neighbors to contribute $10 each
Day 7: Ask your dry cleaner, pharmacy, grocery, doctor, and favorite restaurant (or five other businesses you frequent) for a $20 contribution

(Neither you nor your fellow team members will be penalized nor held responsible for failing to reach $100 in pledges.)
